Thursday of the “Sick Week”

February 23rd, 2007

I hope everyone takes the week-end off to get better.  Now that our house is on the mend, I have more time to devote to this blog.

Grade sevens:

You have your next spelling test on Wednesday.

You need to have finished your surveys by tomorrow so we can start working on our charts.  Remember, you need between 10-15 people interviewed.

We are also playing catch up with other things we started.  Salvador Late or Early will be looked at on Friday for 7A and Monday for 7C.

Next week, we will be starting to work on individual writing projects.

Grade Eights:

We are working on our board games of grammar (Yahoo!) on Friday and perhaps carry it over to Monday as well.  Remember to take your time and do a great job, as your peers will be giving you a mark on your game.

We will need to book taping times next week for our last project.

Grade Nines:

You have your next spelling test on Monday, Feb. 26.

Novel is always to be read in the evenings, so none of this baloney that you have no homework.  We are finished chapter 7 as a class.

Have a great week-end!!!

Has it really been that long?

In grade seven English, we have a spelling test this Wednesday on our compound word list.  We are working on grammar problem issues such as run-on sentences and sentence fragments.

We have also started a new novel.  You should be reading, predicting and filling in your charachter profiles as you read.

Grade Nine English:

Spelling we are to be tested on lesson 14.

You should by Monday be finished reading chapter six in Homecoming and be ready for a class discussion on these chapters.  Be sure to bring your novels to class on Monday.
